CoderDojo NOVA (“CoderNova”) is part of the free, open, and non-profit CoderDojo movement to teach kids 7-17 (along with their parents) how to code. Our coding sessions will work proactively to eliminate gender and socioeconomic barriers to computer science by providing a no-cost (free!) way for young people to experience programming early—and have fun doing it! Most sessions require no prior knowledge!
Best way to learn more is to watch a brief video:
CoderDojoNova held its third annual Hour of Code Event on December 10, 2016 at the Silverline Center (7900 Westpark Drive, Tysons Corner, VA 22102). The event featured demonstrations of a number of interesting technologies like 3D printing, Little Bits circuit kits, mBot robots and drone simulators as well as the presentation of the entrants of the regional coding competition #CoolCodeAwards. We would like to thank our sponsors: Neustar and Octo Consulting for their commitment and support.
